Writing books and slaying her own blogs, one year at a time...

One year ago, exactly, I was informed I need to blog about my writing 'journey'. So, I started a blog. Feel free to visit it (http://mnnscribbles.blogspot.sg/). There is one post. I can't work out how to delete it (the post or the blog) or how to add another post, so I just kind of called it a day (a year?) and created a new blog. I really hope I don't have to go through this every year.

Anyway, I was told I should start a blog to create a 'platform'. Here's the thing: I'm actually trying to write a book, not build a platform. But you know what? It turns out once you've written a book, you need a platform in order to sell it. (I'm sure there will be plenty of people who disagree with this...hey, I'm not even sure I'm buying it, but what do I know?)

Let's rehash. This time last year, I had begun writing a book. I was advised to start a blog.

One year later, the book is done (huzzah!), and done and done again (that's one book, multiple drafts - and I'm pretty sure I got this far because I didn't have to worry about composing interesting blog posts at the same time!) And as for the blog? Well, it died a slow death. (Like I said, I'd revive it if I could, but apparently the great big blog machine in the sky thinks I'm an unfit blog mama.) And now we're onto blog number two.

I'll be back with more soon...and if not? Well, I'll catch you this time next year, on a new blog with a one year recap!
